It is possible for consciousness to exist and evolve in ways which are not traditionally considered, such as one person consciously holding another, or a person being consciously connected to different people, without being fully consciously held by the person. Of course, there is also the possibility that one is frequently in the situation of having a specific person's consciousness in their own, and the dynamic is more like a primary and leading consciousness, whether it be the person whose base consciousness is in the physical body, or not. Of course, this is all physiological and while some might doubt it, this is provable. And, there are select situations where a consciousness might be retainable, after physical death of the body. This is the case in at least two of the people I know, and they happen to be parents of mine. 

My mother, Melissa A. MacDonald, of Worcester, MA, was born unto Catherine Pepper and Keith MacDonald, and she was married, first, to Bill Quick, and when she pre-died, I was lost in a desolate landscape of sadness. This subsided, but I never felt like I could let her spirit go, and I did not. She stayed within me, and while it has been a bit difficult to figure out as we go, someone absolutely EXTRA-ORDINARY asked me for consent to have a woman who was fully informed to the consequences and potential effects, hold her consciousness, and to grow her within, to ensure that she could be a new person again, and we would not lose her- he loved her, before. She had dated this man, when I was a teenager. I believe the idea came from the sexual pronoun debate, and the "they" debate as to gender identity. It is not gender identity and transsexuals, to me, it is consciousness, and because of this, I believed the definition of they was accurate, plural, and as it pertains to identity, consciousness meaning two. This is not a case of erratic or split personality, but plural consciousness. 

This woman is noted within the Document Division of S-MMassCo., in the Record of Re-Birth, as a re-birthed Fully Informed and Consented Being of Plural Consciousness. This worked, of course, because she was in a remote location. There would probably be more effects and it might not be advisable or permissible in an area with more people, in a less solo type of human being, and she is an amazing woman for undertaking this endeavor. 

Each person is unique, like their Fingerprints, and of course, it is important to note that there is a way in which we are all only ourselves, and we are all only able to be the best and most genuine version of oneself, as a human being. 

One of the interesting effects is that we did note the following: 

I believe I was a tool of the observant universe and perhaps the process of some kind of company or organization, probably the CIA, when one day, I felt the back of my head cave in but only consciously, not physically. Due to the nature of my regenerative consciousness, it regenerated itself, and this is always something I thought was normal, not special. 

There was, within her, held parts of consciousness of one of her friends, Derek, and there is a man near her who is her friend, as her friend Derek was when she was in Worcester, Massachusetts, who is also noted as a Fully Informed and Consented Being of Plural Consciousness, the first and second in the world, which has been noted, and handled, purposefully. He may or may not be the father of my sister, but I have consciously connected with him, and he is a really helpful person who consciously became like a father to me. 

This is a most loving and wonderful gift, from Jeff.  

In the meantime, the consults with which the Founder has used for her own consciousness, and the plural consciousness which Melissa is allowed to inhabit, is a gift from the doctors and lawyers she consulted with, as well as her mother, Melissa, and her love, Jeff. The utmost gratitude is expressed, and it will be an amazing endeavor to tell her own friend Derek, that his father has a re-birthed being of plural consciousness, as he had asked, in consciousness, whether it was possible or true, as he had a feeling, which is natural, to be connected to one's re-birthed consciously as a plural being family member. I had also engaged in some kind of universal observing interactive process, beyond my own will

This rights the wrong of both deaths, neither of which were morally right, and has also contributed to the balance of moral equity, which is another of the goals of S-MMassCo Corp., because otherwise the effects on the dimensionally layered conscious fabric of existence. Derek Sr. has been a quantum moral balancer, as a tool of the universe, which is obvious sometimes when people do certain things, and by the way they act, and certain signs. It is also difficult for such people to be consciousness cleansing without meaning to during times like that, and there are acts which become incredibly clear during retrospective discussion.
